Jefferson County Coordinated Transportation Plan



The Jefferson County Coordinated Transportation Plan is a required document for NYSDOT Public Transportation funding through the Public Transportation Bureau administers and has oversight responsibilities for the Statewide Mass Transportation Operating Assistance Program (STOA) and the state matching capital program.  The Bureau administers USDOT Federal Transit Administration (FTA) funding programs including Section 5310 and Section 5311.   This document shall include but not limited to:

  • Assessment of transportation needs for individuals with disabilities, older adults, and persons with limited incomes.
  • Inventory of available services that identifies areas of redundant services and gaps in service.
  • Strategies to address the identified gaps in services.
  • Identification of coordination actions to eliminate or reduce duplication of services and strategies for efficient utilization of resources
  • Prioritization of implementation strategies
